Repairing the KTM 5-17-2006

When we originally drained the oil back in Charleston, we knew that Rodger’s bike had problems.  The oil was “pea soup” green from antifreeze contamination.  It was too late to do anything about it at that point so he bought the necessary gaskets in order to make the repair in London.  First, the plan was to replace the head gasket.  This seemed to be the most likely cause.  However, further investigation pointed to a bad seal in the mechanical water pump.

Rodger worked on his bike all day…

Rodger's bike was all back together around 10:00 p.m.  We packed up our things so that we could head to Paris in the morning.
