Andrew is 23 years old.  He was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina.  He finished his degree in architecture in 2004 and works as an intern at an architecture firm in Charleston.  After putting in his time as an intern he plans to go to graduate school to become a licensed architect.  To describe Andrew in three words I would say outgoing, relaxed, and sarcastic.  He is always up for anything.  After hearing of this trip, he asked me “how much will it cost and how long will it take?”  Before  I finished explaining that I didn’t really know, he said “I’m in”.  You gotta love that.

Rodger Willis

Rodger is 25 years old and was born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina.  After meeting Rodger at Clemson University I realized that he had big dreams. What sets him apart from the crowd is that he makes them happen.  Rodger is one of the most dedicated and determined people that I know.  He finished his degree in mechanical engineering in 2004 and played on the Clemson Rugby team throughout college.  He then began work at Eaton Technologies in Ashville, North Carolina.  He worked the 9 to 5 in a cubical for a year and vows never to do it again.  I see him starting his own business in the next few years, although dental school is also a possibility.

J. is 24 years old.  He was born in Bryan, Texas and raised  in Charleston, South Carolina.  Either he really has his act together or he has no idea where he’s going, it’s hard to tell.  After finishing his Mechanical Engineering Degree in 2004, he went on to pursue a Masters in Bioengineering and finished with a 4.0 GPA.  With funding from the Greenville Hospital System, he spent the last two years researching cardiovascular disease at Clemson University.  After this trip, he will be starting medical school at the Medical University of South Carolina with interests in heart surgery and cardiology.  Although, ask him what he wants to be, and he’ll say “tug boat captain”…..he’s serious.
