Sort of Cheesy Update 6/11/2006

As I search through my personal journal for an interesting entry to add to the page, I realize just how much we have seen already and how amazing of an experience this is proving to be.  We are leaving Russia with 5,000 miles behind us, one day left on our visas and the general feeling of confidence.  We have managed to overcome all the problems that we have encountered (12 stops by the police, corrupt border guards, many mechanical issues, etc.)  We all have had our spurts of home sickness, and the weather has not been cheerful with 2 weeks of hard rain (It's amazing how much your mood depends on the weather when you can't get away from it by just stepping inside.)  But we know that things are just going to get more exciting as the culture promise to get even more different than what we are used to as we head farther east.  Kazakhstan is our next challenge and we will attempt our first border crossing tomorrow.  Wish us luck!
