Despite J's best efforts to not ever see us again, we all met up in Clemson, SC on Thursday, August 17th. I had been there for a few days visiting my sister, Susan. Rodger arrived a day or two later and was visiting some friends. J arrived late wednesday night. We all met up Thursday morning, had some lunch and left Clemson. After riding around 15,000 miles we were on the last 250 mile stretch, I-26 straight to Charleston.

We arrived around 7:30 pm at the house of J's parents and found quite a party waiting on us. There were people in the street waving signs that read "Welcome Home World Travelers." I pulled into the driveway and my mom pounced on me so fast I didn't even have a chance to get off my bike. I didn't want to spoil the moment, but I was really worried my mom might burn her shins on my exhaust pipes.

J's dad whipped up some burgers on the grill and we spent the rest of the night telling stories. Bo Peterson from the newspaper showed up and talked with everyone there. His one question to me was "What was the weirdest food you ate?" After thinking about it for a second, I decided the lamb intestine on a stick was pretty sick. J's dad pulled out a projector hooked up to a computer. J and I showed some pictures we and told stories. It was a really chill way to come home.

Now that we're back we're going to overhaul the website: more movies, more journal entries and new pictures. Don't worry, there's lots more to see.
